Wes and Rachelle Atkinson Owners, Atkinson Expeditions & Outdoor Expeditions
Wes grew up in Craig, Colorado where he spent most of his days delinquent from any social activities because of his addictions to hunting and fishing. The days he spent with his dad and brother growing up along the Yampa River and in the hills around Craig are some of the best memories of his life. It is from those fun days that he has created Atkinson Expeditions and a desire to share the outdoors with others. Wes and his wife, Rachelle, enjoy being a team and creating personal, successful experiences for the clients of Atkinson Expeditions. Wes and Rachelle have owned and operated Atkinson Expeditions for eight years and have recently with the help of Rob, Jerome and Miles operated Outdoor Expeditions for 3 years to fulfill on their insatiable desire to hunt trophy mule deer. Wes’s “Are you kidding me? I really get to do this?” moments happen more and more frequently as his business expands and he enjoys new opportunities such as prostaffing for Sportsman’s News and traveling to destinations such as Argentina, Africa, and Alaska |

Rob Amidon Operations Manager. Atkinson Expeditions, Outdoor Expeditions
Rob was the very first of our team members to join Atkinson Expeditions and has a longstanding, reliable reputation with our team, landowners, and clients alike. Rob enjoys hunting Atkinson Expeditions’ ranches in northern Colorado, which are within twenty minutes of his home and allow him to spend family time with wife Jenn, and daughters Grace and Sarah!
Rob is a veteran hunter of both the plains of Eastern Colorado and the foothills of north central Colorado. Growing up in Fort Collins, Colorado, both places were easily accessible to Rob as a young hunter and his experience is invaluable to the AE team. Currently Rob is responsible for management of our northern Colorado mule deer and elk operation. Rob also handles many of our clients’ accounts – and with the new project of Outdoor Expeditions it may be Rob on the other end of the phone with you as you search for your next premium hunting destination!

Jerome Vinet Field Manager, Outdoor Expeditions
Jerome grew up in Littleton, Colorado, and from the time he was big enough to hold up a fishing pole or B.B. gun, he has been addicted to the outdoors. Spending his early years in the central mountains of Colorado, learning everything he could about hunting and fishing from his Dad. When he moved to Gunnison Colorado for college, that passion only erupted further into a full blown obsession; however he did mange to graduate. From that obsession exploded the desire to share those experiences with the clients that he now calls friends. While working with his best friends, Jerome has guided hunts on everything from moose, elk and deer in North Park; to antelope, deer and turkeys all over the eastern plains, not to mention mule deer and elk in the hills around Gunnison. Now, as one of two managers of Outdoor Expeditions in Eastern Colorado, he looks forward to the abundance of new experiences. Jerome is responsible for logistics and property management in Eastern Colorado. It will be his truck that will be seen bouncing through the ranches on scouting trips before the season ever starts. |

Miles Fedinec Guide, Atkinson Expeditions, Outdoor Expeditions
Whether you call it luck or destiny, when Miles Fedinec’ feet hit the ground they hit in the heart of western big game hunting. Born and raised in Northwest Colorado he was exposed to the great outdoors at a very young age. Growing up he never missed an opportunity to go hunting, fishing, camping or anything else that had to do with the outdoors. Giving him a driver’s license was like giving him a free pass to spend every second possible scouting and studying wildlife and their habits. Between his addiction, passion, love, obsession or whatever you want to call it and his knowledge of wildlife as well as his desire to help others, guiding just came natural. Not only has Miles guided literally hundreds of successful hunts but he has also experienced great success hunting for himself allover the United States and Africa. In the so called “off season” Miles represents Crooked Horn Outfitters specialized hunting equipment and Pro Staffs for Sportsman’s News. He has judged various calling contests such as “The Best of the West” Elk calling championships as well as being a guest at many other events. Very few people get to make a living doing what they love so you can bet no matter if Miles is helping a hunter reach a new pinnacle in his hunting career, Pro Staffing, judging, test piloting new gear or just hunting with family and friends he is loving every minute of it. To any female mule deer fanatics - Miles remains very available. |

Kristin Rice Administrative Assistant; AE and OE
Hello my name is Kristin Rice and I am the Administrative Assistant for Atkinson Expeditions and Outdoor Expeditions. I became acquainted with Wes and Rachelle due to me being a part of the family!! I am married to Tyler, Rachelle's little brother. Over the years I have been watching this Outfitting business grow and wondered if they might need some help eventually. Sure enough it was time for them to get a full time book-keeper and they gave me the job. I have been working for the business since April 2008 and haven't looked back. I was exposed to the hunting world when I was a kid, my Dad was a hunter. I've done a little bird hunting and fishing but nothing big like deer or elk. I actually have taken an interest in archery, so hopefully the bro-in-law can get me started in the right direction. I live on a small ranch and we are more or less horse people. We ride, rope and ranch rodeo pretty much year round. I love the outdoors period. I love to work in my yard and grow wildflowers, love to ski and snowshoe in the winter up north of course and love to spend time with my family and friends. I love animals, especially my dogs and also am a big fan of music! I will be handling all of the email contacts, hunt contracts and the book-keeping end of things. This part of AE and OE will be handled in Texas, so if you wonder why your information comes from Texas, this is why!! |
